Our new “Kawaii” living room clock is the result of a successful
collaboration between two visionary watchmakers from Besançon setting in Jura.
Following in the tradition of the Comtoise grandfather clock, Alain Silberstein
and Philippe Lebru share convictions about the emergence of
contemporary Comtoise watchmaking. Linked by their artistic talents,
they agree on the values of excellence that characterise the
watchmaking know-how of from Besançon and its strong affirmation in
the future.
In accordance with tradition, the clocks of the Utinam Manufacture are entirely manufactured in Besançon and its surrounding area.
Each clock is assembled and adjusted at 119 Grande Rue in Besançon, opposite the Musée du Temps.
Visionary and iconic, the “Kawaii” by Utinam, a contemporary Bauhaus-inspired Comtoise clock, is defined as a true mechanical work of art.
Through its apparent mechanism and its balance wheel that counts the universal second, its art mechanics are highlighted thanks to the classics of Bauhaus design, minimalist, timeless and pure forms.
Entitled as a work of art, this family totem imposes the idea of a new Art that takes the form of time!
