To celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of Aristide Denfer Rochereau, known as “the Lion of Belfort”, UTINAM has designed an extraordinary installation featuring a remarkable work of mechanical art. 

Combining the precision of the clockmaker’s art with the beauty of nature, “The March of the Lion” will take place next year in the heart of the “Territoire du Lion” in Belfort.  A completely mechanical recreation of the famous statue, specially made to commemorate the bicentenary, this life-size lion will give visitors a unique experience as they bring the lion to life with the turn of a winding key… 

This artwork, designed by Philippe Lebru and commissioned by the Territoire de Belfort department, will be unveiled on the 11th of January 2023.
